The Ashley Judd film fest continues, this time with a movie I haven't seen.
She looks awful in this one and totally reminds me of someone from high
school.

I laughed at some of the exterior shots in that movie.

Oklahoma does not have mountains like that. What mountains it claims to have are more like hills.

Geological inaccuracy aside, I didn't love that movie, but I didn't hate it either.

I don't remember knowing where it took place or seeing any mountains, but my drive through Oklahoma would suggest it's basically flat.

I thought it took place in Arizona or New Mexico.

That said, I agree: No love, no hate.

Some of the exterior shots of the motel had huge mountains in the background, iirc.

Yeah, OK is flat. So flat that when I drive back to visit, I'm so used to seeing mountains and forests and stuff (from L.A. and the drive) that it almost feels like a big space wind could come along and blow me off the face of the earth.

I hate Oklahoma. The only time I've ever had to go to the emergency room was in Elk City. I had an earache so bad I wanted to die, and I couldn't get my dad to wake up. After about three hours of trying, I knocked on the door between our room and my aunt's room (we were in a hotel on our way to Arkansas) and my aunt managed to get him up. I finally fell asleep during the several-hours wait in the ER.

Totes. I'd never really experience that before (Wisconsin is hilly, at least) so it kind of blew my mind.

I'm sure it would be even more awesome and similar to your post-LA experience now that I've lived in the Phoenix area for awhile.

Anyway, fact checkers are good for films. 'Nuff said.
