I've never tried clipping a cat's nails before, so I don't have a basis for comparison, but it's pretty easy to use. The smell is pretty vile, though.

I got 2 for Christmas. My cat, cockatoo and dog all have no issues with it, though they bite/claw/scratch when I try to clip their nails. Totally worth it.

Sparky trims his own claws. Which I love him for VERY much. Bruiser however, did not acquire this skill. And he hates anything touching his paws. ugh.
