I keep trying to mark things as read by scrolling past them, the way I do in Google Reader, and I want to be able to count things anywhere by highlighting them, the way I do in Excel.

i have this problem with mouse gestures in firefox which i use constantly. i frequently find myself trying to close or minimize a window in the OS by using a mouse gesture.

I wish you could mark livejournal entries you have read...so that the author knows you read it without needing to leave a comment.

That can be a double-edged sword, though. If you've read it, you can be expected to remember it.
