Though, they do that thing that my husband does that annoys the heck out of me, and put an apostrophe in "DVD's".

Nope. The apostrophe is used to signify possessive, like if I said "Ed's CDs", or "Ed's dogs". Or a contraction, like making "it is" down to "it's"

it's the best one i've ever seen too, because it ACTUALLY HAS A DATE ON IT.

people put up yard sale signs around here all the time with no date on them, and then never come back to take them down. it infuriates me to no end.
