My dream this morning kept switching between two plots. I'll explain how they intersected at the end.

In one plot, I had just broken up with some celebrity. It was a lead singer of a band. Not sure who, but I remember wishing it had been the lead singer of Live because he was better looking. I was living in a weird situation with several of my high school friends and they spent their time trying to win vacations on the internet.

In the other plot, I was back in India. I'd just arrived, and a bunch of my team members from over there were picking me up along with a few people I hadn't met yet. When they tried to introduce themselves, I couldn't hear them. Gurgaon was very different from what I remembered. The weather was wet and cool, there were shops everywhere, the streets were nicely paved and full of life, and there was a beach. On the beach, people were making giant camels out of sand. Picture the Sphinx, but a camel, and about 45 of them on a beach.

I was worried because they didn't have a welcome packet for me, which would have included keys to the apartment and a cell phone. My phone worked, but I was afraid I'd pay outrageous international rates.

We drove up the steepest hill imagineable. It was so steep I was afraid we'd actually start sliding backward if we had to stop for any reason.

When they dropped me off, the plot kept switching from the first to the second. They left me at a house which became the one I was in earlier with the high school people. I'd get a conference call from them on a laptop welcoming me back to India, then I'd be in a library answering a conference call from my friends about the band leader breakup.

I eventually decided to get ready and try to head to the office. I went to the shower, which was a room-sized structure outside. It was raining, and water just sort of gathered on the roof and spilled through. My brother walked by outside while I was in there and said something about the roof needing repairs because it the panels were hanging down into where they shouldn't be. It was true, you had to stand between them.

Then Rodney Dangerfield walked into the yard. He was wearing a black suit with a red tie. I started to give him a bj and then I woke up.

Yesterday [livejournal.com profile] amznbert noticed that my old piercings form a Jessface. I carry her with me, always. (this may double post)

I've been insanely productive today. I've done the following:
- Worked 10 hours
- Bought groceries
- Did a huge load of laundry
- Took down a load of recycling
- Did dishes
- Made myself dinner
- Replied to a bunch of replies to that meme post

Why are Q-Tips so damn hard to find in every store? I had to ask where they were when I bought them at Walgreens and I was unsuccessful finding them at QFC tonight. I didn't want to bother any employees because the store was mobbed. But I swear, it's like they try to hide them.

I might do my taxes tonight. Haven't received the phone filing thing in the mail yet but I really liked the online one I did last year. I think it was from H&R Block.

Dinner tonight was a hella good salad. I made it with salad mix, bean sprouts, peas, sharp cheddar shreds, lemon chicken, salsa, and balsamic vinaigrette. Man.

I want to eat the salad I just had for dinner again for lunch tomorrow. I can make the whole thing before I leave but I worry that it won't be as good if it sits around all mixed up until lunch time. [Poll #1129139]
