Week 19, no repeat t-shirt weeks
Feb. 18th, 2022 04:24 amThe biggest news that's fit to share is that we did it.

I was trying to grow my whole beard out longer than ever, but with the fresh haircut, I liked the corners sticking out even less, so those had to go. For now, I'm just growing the center out.

Much better. I've also finished issue 22 of my zine, which is the second one that's in color. I love having that option. I'm a little sad nobody's taken advantage of the new on-demand option, but I can't be surprised with my audience being as small as it is.

Not that I'm complaining about that, either. As much as I'd love more people to see my work, the idea of printing, folding, and mailing a lot more copies isn't appealing.
This week was my first time abandoning a t-shirt choice before anyone at work saw it. I put this shirt on and then remembered how much I wished I wasn't wearing it when I met my new friend who's a reader and gifted me a painting based on one of my photos.

That shirt just doesn't match my attitude at work. One thing that always matches my mood is fact checking.

If you're not familiar with The Misfits, they're the enemy band on Jem, the iconic kids' show and matching line of dolls from the '80s. I'm starting to feel pretty dumb for not including something from that show on my back tattoo, but I suppose there's still some skin left.
I do have a tattoo of that guy in the paper bag, he's a burritocorn by Starheadboy.

And that last shirt is from the Live in Everett Yum Run, the only 5k I've ever done or wanted to do, because food was involved.

I'm sure I already told the story, but I was the only one there who had a hot dog hat because when it came time to put in the hat order, they only had pizza and hamburger in stock. I asked if I could have the sample hot dog hat and got it. I heard later that one kid cried when he saw my hat but couldn't have one. Life's hard!
