I saw that today's the 23rd anniversary of the Kingdome implosion, and decided to go find some pictures from that day. I don't think I have the ones I took of the event itself, I think I only printed them and put them in a photobook I sent to my friend Traci. I had to hold my cheap plastic camera above my head to get the pictures, and I remember feeling it start to break as I advanced the film roll. But that wasn't my most pressing concern because the entire city became enveloped in a dust cloud, and I had to walk several miles home in it.

I didn't know it at the time, but partway through that final roll, something inside the camera started scraping the film. Here's a picture of me at age 25 with those distinctive scratches.
