Pool tour cut short

Text messages I get from the YMCA can be so impactful to my days, so I should read them more carefully. On Sunday I got one that said the rec pool, which is the one that I always use, was closed for the day, and they'd designate part of the lap pool for open use but availability would be limited based on lap use. I think they should keep a lane reserved for non lap use any time the rec pool closes, such as all those times when a lifeguard calls in sick or is running late. More on that in a bit.

I misread that text and thought the rec pool was closed until further notice, and since I hadn't heard anything from them the rest of the day, I thought I might do a tour of the other pools throughout the week, starting with Mukilteo. Glad I checked the website, as that one's swim area was closed for maintenance and will be until Monday.
