Not thrilled, but dry
Dec. 3rd, 2023 01:36 pmI'm not sure how much it bothers a dog to be wet, but I always felt bad having to take Tuvix for a walk in heavy rain and only being able to get him partially dry with a towel once we got back. We have a dog blow dryer to use when we bathe him at home, but even that takes a very long time so we always just blow most of the water away and let time take care of the rest. A few weeks ago, I was feeling proactive and started taking measurements so I could order him a raincoat. He really disliked the measuring tape, which seemed like a bad sign for things to come.
We've had the raincoat for a while now but it wasn't until today that it was actually raining when it was time for a walk.

He wasn't as dramatic as cats are when you try to put something on them, but he was definitely out of sorts. It took forever to get him down the stairs, and almost as long to get him off the driveway and into the street.

It was a slow, cumbersome walk, but he eventually peed and pooped. I started to worry the latter wouldn't happen and that I might have to walk him some more without the raincoat, thus making it useless. But he did it. What a good boy.
