The old-fashioned method was lye, borax, saltpeter, malt vinegar and saspirilla, mixed into a paste and rubbed over the lens with a pad made from the soft beard of an elderly Polish woman.

But with the invention of Nickelodeon Lens Cleaner, just spritz and then wipe with an ordinary Jew beard!
