Not a bagel, originally uploaded by christopher575.

I definitely wasn't paying attention when I bought this. Nut-free granola?
Boooooo.

EDIT:
This is the most disgusting thing I have eaten in ages. It's like cardboard with a hint of berry-flavored medicine extract.

They specialize in foods that people miss having because they have food allergies, so I think that's the purpose of them. I was not intrigued when Ross brought them home, but oh man...so yummy.

A lot of people with celiac disease can't tolerate oats because some of the proteins in them have the same inflammatory effects on their digestive system that wheat flour does :(

I would be sad if I could not have oats.

Oh.

Yes, I would be sad, too.

No pancakes? How does one live without pancakes?

My friend Barry tries with rice flour. Apparently it's okay except that Canada is not nearly as helpful as the USA to those with 'unique' dietary needs.

I wonder if flax and sphagnum would work the same way. I think it might be a good challenge to try different stuff out like that and see just how much of an adjustment needs to be made.

I hope Canadian retailers catch up a bit. You can get pretty much anything for ANY dietary restriction here. We're pretty lucky.
